An Introduction

A house built around the cut.

Woomong Garden is a Korean BBQ house in Pangyo dedicated to a single, uncompromising idea: let the beef lead. Our hanwoo is wet-aged in-house, hand-trimmed in the morning, and carried to the table on warm wooden boards that tell you exactly what you are about to eat.

The room is calm — chandeliers, walnut and brass, marble grill tables, and a wall of wine that opens onto a small Pangyo garden. Tables are widely spaced. Private rooms are purpose-built with copper hoods that draw the smoke away cleanly, so the conversation — and your clothes — leave the way they arrived.

Whether it is a first night in Seoul, an after-work dinner, or a quiet anniversary, we cook the beef for you, course by course, at the temperature each cut prefers.

For First-Time Guests

How a Korean BBQ dinner goes.

Don’t worry — our team cooks at the table for you and walks you through it. Here is the rough shape of the evening.

  1. 01

    You’re seated

    Banchan — small Korean side dishes, kimchi, ssam vegetables, sauces — arrive almost immediately. Free, and refilled.

  2. 02

    The board comes out

    Your cuts are presented raw on a wooden board with engraved markers, so you can see exactly what you ordered.

  3. 03

    We grill, you taste

    The team grills each cut to its ideal doneness on the table grill, slices it, and serves it onto your plate.

  4. 04

    Build a ssam

    Lettuce leaf, a piece of beef, a touch of ssamjang, garlic, a grain of rice. Fold. Eat in one bite. This is the way.

  5. 05

    Finish with stew & noodles

    A bowl of doenjang stew or cold naengmyeon noodles closes the meal — Koreans never skip this part.
